Liposuction

Ideal Patient:

  • Excess fat deposits on body, neck or face
  • Fat that does not respond to diet or exercise

The Method:

Do you have unwanted fat in areas that you just can’t seem to rid yourself of no matter how hard you try? Liposuction may be the procedure for you. Liposuction reshapes the body’s silhouette with removal of excess fat. Common areas for liposuction include:

  • abdomen
  • hips / “love handles”
  • thighs
  • chin
  • neck
  • upper arms
  • breasts (male and female)
  • knees
  • calves
  • ankles

The Procedure:

Liposuction, also called lipoplasty or suction lipectomy, is the surgical removal of localized or regional excess fatty tissue. Under general anesthesia, a thin hollow tube, or cannula, is inserted through small, inconspicuous incisions hidden within the natural creases of the body. Using a controlled motion, dislodged fat is suctioned out of the body using a surgical vacuum. Compression garments may assist patients during the healing process to help skin conform to new body contours.

“So good that even my dad went in”

Dr. Kagan is AWESOME. He did my DST eyelid procedure and I couldn’t be happier. My eyes look fantastic. So good that even my dad went in and had his done. His staff is always very welcoming and Dr. K has great bedside manners, is very experienced in what he does and was very informative! I didn’t expect to learn so much before my procedure and I am glad I did to better understand what he would exactly be doing. I will definitely be going back to Dr. Kagan for any future procedures and highly recommend him!
