Sagging breasts due to
- Weight Fluctuation
Over time, gravity, pregnancy and child bearing can take a toll on a woman’s breasts and they may begin to sag. A breast lift, also known as a mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that raises and repositions the breasts, and many times, reduces the size of the areolae.
Your consultation with Dr. Kagan will determine the best breast lift procedure for you based on the size and shape of your breasts, skin quality and position of your nipples and areolae. Breast lift surgery is a required procedure during breast reduction or may include the insertion of breast implants if breast volume is to be restored.
Done under general anesthesia or IV sedation, a breast lift involves the removal of excess skin and the repositioning the nipple areolar complex to a location higher on the chest wall. Incisions are located around the areolae. In the weeks following the operation, the size and shape of the breast continue to improve each day.
